★★★★★ - I have never done an escape room before, but decided to give this a try when visiting family in the Stamford area. I am glad I did, because it was so much fun! My family and I (four total) did the Escape the Madman room. Some members in my group had reservations about going through a room with a "horror" theme, but it was not at all scary. There were no jump scare moments or disturbing images, simply some appropriate props and video to give the illusion of being trapped. We are definitely not the best at solving mysteries together but the pacing of the hints and innovative clues were the perfect combination of fun and challenging. The owner stated that his intentions are to provide a fun challenge and will personally tailor the experience for each group. Whether you want many hints in order to complete the room, or minimal hints to escape, the "Madman" responds in real time to make it a very real and personal experience. I would definitely recommend this to any group that wants a fun experience. From a large corporate outing with catering (which they have the space to accommodate) to some small family fun, Trap't is the place to be.
